Electoral Services

Electoral Services ensure that all eligible residents within the Wyre Borough are given the opportunity to vote in any elections: local, parliamentary, European or referenda. We do this by compiling a Register of Electors. There is an annual canvass to update the Register each autumn, which is then published in full on 1 December each year.

The process of "rolling registration" takes place between December and September. This allows people to register to vote throughout the year. If you have moved within the Borough or are new to the Borough you will need register to vote at your new address.

Electoral Services also organise and administer all elections that take place within the borough as well as assisting with any local or parliamentary boundary changes.

Registering to Vote

The revised register of electors was published on 1 December following the annual canvass.

However, under the period of 'rolling registration' it is still possible to register to vote and updated lists to the register are published on the first working day of each month. For further information please see our Register to Vote pages.
